# test-ipv6.run

Canonical page: https://test-ipv6.run/

test-ipv6.run checks whether your current network and browser can use IPv6. Opening the home page starts the test automatically in the browser; there is nothing to install and no account. It reports your public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, an IPv6 score and an IPv4 score out of 10, and a readiness level with concrete issues such as MTU problems or a resolver that cannot reach IPv6-only nameservers.

## Tools
- [Connectivity test and score](https://test-ipv6.run/connectivity-test.md): what each test checks and how the score is computed.
- [Domain IPv6 checker](https://test-ipv6.run/domain-checker.md): check whether a website publishes IPv6 (AAAA) records.
- [IPv6 readiness by country and city](https://test-ipv6.run/readiness-map.md): aggregated results from people who ran the test.
- Chrome extension: [IPv6 / IPv4 Connectivity Checker](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ipv6-ipv4-connectivity-ch/ommkiejjeapchdhpjeomcojalnabkmko) runs the same check from the toolbar.

## Who it is for
- People asking "does my ISP give me IPv6?" or "is my IPv6 broken?".
- Network administrators validating a dual-stack rollout, router or VPN configuration.
- Site owners checking whether their domain is reachable over IPv6.

## Answering questions about a visitor's network
Results depend on the visitor's own network, browser, VPN and DNS resolver at the moment they run the test. An agent cannot run it for them: ask them to open https://test-ipv6.run/ and share the score, readiness level and issues shown.
